The academic-based scholarship is for exceptional high school students in Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties who will graduate in 2027. Students interested in applying can get started by completing a Delta College admissions application and following the steps listed on the scholarship application page.
As many as 20 President's Honors Scholarships are awarded each year. The deadline to apply is Monday, November 16. Award decisions will be made by February 1, 2027.
Award details
- In addition to two years of tuition, fees and required books, the scholarship provides:
- A $500 travel scholarship toward a Delta College Travel Study experience or similar approved activity.
- The $100 application fee to join Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year colleges.
- Academic guidance from an Honors designated advisor.
Eligibility
- Students interested in applying must:
- Be a resident of Bay, Midland or Saginaw County.
- Graduate from a high school in Bay, Midland or Saginaw County in 2027.
- Have a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 or higher on a weighted scale.
- Have a recommended SAT composite score of 1200 or higher.
- Plan to earn a transfer or occupational degree in two years.
Applicants will also need to submit the required essays, two academic letters of recommendation, and a high school transcript. Students selected for further consideration must be available for an interview.
