The Delta College Planetarium inspires exploration through entertaining shows and events. 

The planetarium offers a huge variety of shows for all ages in its state-of-the-art Dome360 theater and our knowledgeable staff regularly host guided night sky viewing events. Your visit to the planetarium is sure to be out-of-this-world.

The planetarium is located in the heart of downtown Bay City, at the beginning of historic Center Avenue.

    “From Earth to the Universe” begins with a tour of the various worlds in the solar system. We then leave our home to take the audience out to the colorful birthplaces and burial grounds of stars, and still further out, beyond the Milky Way, to the unimaginable immensity of countless galaxies.

Events

Get the best view of the fireworks from our rooftop observation deck, along with parking and special dome shows, all while supporting the educational mission of the planetarium. Includes snacks and souvenirs from the planetarium and local businesses.

July 20 marks the anniversary of the first Apollo moon landing that took place in 1969. Join us for a special showing of “Capcom GO! – The Apollo Story” followed by a short program by Planetarium Manager Mike Murray with rare footage, astronaut accounts and fulldome imagery. Regular planetarium show admission rates apply.

Join planetarium staff, amateur astronomers and park rangers at the Dark Sky Preserve near Port Austin. Weather permitting, visitors will get to observe through telescopes and binoculars from a truly dark sky site! Backup night is Sunday, Aug 3 in case of inclement weather. This is a free event, however park entrance fees may apply.
