The Dental Clinic is a great resource for dental hygiene care. The clinic provides a wide variety of services for good oral health while giving our students the experience they need to be licensed dental hygienists and dental assistants when they graduate.
How it works
Our students need real-life experience so they can become professional dental assistants or dental hygienists. Thanks to patients like you, students can obtain their education through clinical experience. Our patients participate in a number of scheduled four-hour appointments where students provide dental hygiene care under the supervision of their instructors who are licensed dental hygienists, licensed dental assistants and licensed dentists. You’ll get to take a copy of your dental documents and x-rays to share with your home dental office.
The best part about the Dental Clinic may be the fee. The clinic is an educational resource for our students, therefore the fee is minimal. We can let you know what the approximate fee is when you schedule your appointment. The Dental Clinic does not accept insurance.
The Dental Clinic provides a wide variety of services:
- Prophylaxis (cleaning of teeth for both adults and children)
- Periodontal care
- Radiographs (x-rays)
- Oral cancer exam
- Oral exam
- Fluoride treatments
- Pit and fissure sealants for children
In order to treat patients in the clinic, students first complete approximately 20 weeks of education and clinical practice. With the best technology out there, the Dental Clinic is well equipped to take care of your dental hygiene needs.
