Facilities

State-of-the-art facilities
At Delta, students use the latest technology so they can graduate ready to hit the ground running. Delta recently unveiled a $2.8 million renovation of public media and academic lab facilities.

Under construction 
Computer science wing renovation with a projected cost of $6.7 million. This will support the semiconductor, cybersecurity, networking and other computer science related programs.

Workforce Strategies
Delta College supports the adult learner by delivering short-term job training for businesses of all sizes. From one class to customizable certificate programs that award academic credit, Delta training upskills the regional workforce.

Businesses also partner with Delta for interns and co-ops to help build their talent pipeline. 

Youth
The Delta College Possible Dream Program encourages youth to stay in school and attend college. It’s been a success! 75% have continued their education. The program also offers Possible Dream graduates scholarships to attend Delta College; 12 were given for the 2024–25 academic year.

STEM Explorer mobile lab had 9,287 student interactions last year and collaborated with 65 K–12 teachers.

Convenience
Accessible education is important. Delta has three off-campus downtown centers in Bay City, Midland and Saginaw, where nearly 1,200 students attend each semester.

Arts, culture and enrichment
The Delta College Planetarium provides ongoing educational programming for K–12 students and shows for the general public to explore the wonders of the universe. Since opening in 1997, over 600,000 people have visited and enjoyed shows in the dome theater.

Through the President’s Speaker Series, Delta brings nationally renowned speakers to enrich the campus and the community. 

Delta College Public Media (WDCQ-TV and WUCX-FM 90.1) is an essential part of the educational mission of the college, providing informational and learning programs to 1.4 million viewers and listeners each year. We broadcast the Michigan Learning Channel for educators and families, providing free PBS videos and printable resources.

The Delta College Sculpture Walk is a free, outdoor exhibit featuring 25 works of art available 365 days a year.

Achieving the Dream – Leader College

The League for Innovation in the Community College (League) is an international nonprofit organization with a mission to cultivate innovation in the community college environment. Delta College’s President Emeritus Don Carlyon was one of its founding members in 1968 and President Dr. Michael Gavin remains on its Board today.
